Loretta Fae Welch
Loretta Fae Welch, age 75 of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Missouri. She was born August 20, 1943 to James and Effie Grace Sutton Epperson in Rochester, Indiana.
Loretta, one of three children, grew up in Rochester. In 1959 she moved to Butler, graduating from Butler High School in 1961. Loretta worked at Glen’s Cafe and also at the Lens Plant in Butler. On August 12, 1966 she was united in marriage to Leroy and to this union four daughters were born. She was a member of the Missouri Council of the Blind and attended the Victory Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and spending time with her family.
Loretta is survived by her husband Leroy Welch of Butler, Missouri; three daughters, Rachel Houston and husband Jason of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Sarah Adcock and husband Kevin of Butler, Missouri and Esther Welch and Scott of Columbia, Missouri; two brothers, Joe Epperson and wife Kay and Elmer Epperson and wife Beulah, all of Butler, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Alex Houston, Aaron Houston and Justin Adcock. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Christine Burnett; and one grandson, Shelby Adcock.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions to Remington’s Heart Foundation. Online condolences www.schowengerdtchapel.com.
