James “Jim” Frances Trumbore
James “Jim” Frances Trumbore, age 77 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home. He was born June 13, 1940 to James Frances Sr. and Lillian Hannah Trumbore in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he grew up with five brothers and sisters. Jim moved to Raytown, Missouri in 1959. On October 9, 1970 he was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Foster and moved to Westline, Missouri. Jim and Shirley moved to the farm in Butler in 1973. He worked and retired from Western Electric/AT&T. After retirement, he worked for Roberds Manufacturing in Harrisonville and then Butler Elementary School. Jim was a member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Happy Hill Church of God. Jim enjoyed working with livestock and gardening. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and camping. Jim also enjoyed vacationing, telling stories, cooking, and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley Trumbore of Butler, Missouri; three sons, David Trumbore of Carthage, Missouri, Jake Trumbore of Reading, Pennsylvania and Troy Trumbore and wife Leigh of Butler, Missouri; three daughters, Susan Foster and husband David of Joplin, Missouri, Tracy Collings and husband Mike of Harrisonville, Missouri and Wendy Robinett and husband Mike of Butler, Missouri; three sisters, Betty Mayberry, Sarah McGonigle and Barbara Bleiler, all of Allentown, Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and beloved dog, Nick. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Daniel Trumbore, one grandson, Austin Davenport; one brother, Gary Trumbore; and one sister, Margaret Pitten. *** Funeral services were Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating.
