Eva Smith, 62 of Butler, Missouri passed away, after a long battle with cancer, Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Butler Center. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). A visitation will be held prior to the service Sunday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services. Eva Marie Smith was born February 8, 1957 in Columbia, Missouri to Rudy and Lois Black Davidson. She grew up in Wellington, Missouri and graduated from Wellington High School. She was united in marriage to Norris Smith. Eva loved family. She was a devoted and loving mother, who raised two sons that she was very proud of. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she especially enjoyed spending time with each of them. Eva had a big heart and cared for everyone she loved in any way that she could. Anyone who knew Eva, knew that she was a die-hard KC Chiefs fan and loved her Alabama music!
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Norris Smith, and, sister Carol Sue Shields. She missed each of them dearly. She is survived by her sons John Ganfield (Dawn McGinnis), and Brandon Smith (Whitney Jones), brother Jim Davidson (Paula), six grandchildren, Jayden Nichol McFalls, John Dewey Ganfield, Wylan Mac-Norris Ganfield, Kya LeeAnne Smith, Chris Schade, and Chelsey Schade. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
