The congregation of the Happy Hill Church of God on Sunday Feb. 2 shared a great time of fellowship. A noon meal of Prime Rib was prepared by Randy Weiss for all to enjoy. Following the meal Pastor Ron Dunlap shared some highlights of the 71 years the church has been in existence. In Dec. of 2017 the church relocated to their current location at 901 S. Main Street in Butler. It was a special day for the congregation as they had a “Mortgage Burning” service to complete the day of celebration. To God be the Glory for what He has done.
DONEDA SWENSON is recognized as the Bates County Memorial Hospital Employee of the Month for February, 2020. Doneda began her employment in November, 2015. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Doneda has more than 30 years of experience in the field. During a nuclear medicine study, Doneda administers a radioactive material to the patient called a radiopharmaceutical. The nuclear cameras can detect the radiation concentrated in the organ. This allows the radiologist to study the structure, measure the function of the organ and to identify tumors, areas of infection or other disorders. The radiation dose is small, and the patient experiences little or no discomfort during the procedure. Doneda is an excellent tech with a great work ethic, always providing quality patient care. The hospital is proud to honor Doneda as Employee of the Month.
