Congratulations are due to John Bustle, M.D., Chief Executive Officer for Bates County Memorial Hospital, who received his Master in Health Care Management degree from Harvard University, T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Boston) on May 28, 2020. The hospital board and staff are proud of our CEO’s dedication to excellence and his commitment to providing leadership with vision for BCMH. Dr. Bustle has served as a family practice physician since 2010 with BCMH Family Care Clinics. He was named CEO in 2017.
On 6/7/2020 at approximately 2130 hours, the Bates County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a kidnapping that had just occurred in Butler. The female was forced into her car at gunpoint from her place of employment. Information received indicated that the vehicle would have possibly been returning to the Kansas City area. Deputies and a municipal police officer observed the vehicle northbound on I49 and attempted to stop the vehicle.
On June 9, 2020 Steven Michael George (DOB 11/24/1980) registered as a sex offender in Bates County. He was convicted of Statutory Sodomy, Child Molestation and Possession of Child Pornography on 10/29/2010 in Jackson County, MO. George is residing at 14127 NW County Road 221 in Adrian, MO. He is classified as a Tier 3 Sex Offender.
