Farnum Family in Concert at Ohio Christian Church
If you like toe-tappin’, hand-clappin’ southern style country music, you won’t want to miss our Gospel concert at Ohio Christian Church Sunday night August 25, at 7 p.m. The Farnum Family from Galena, Mo., delivers variety with bluegrass, gospel and old time tunes, along with cowboy ballads to delight audiences.
This award-winning, supremely talented family of eight brings a host of musical acumen, from banjo picking, fiddle playing and upright bass strumming to mandolin, Dobro and acoustic guitar playing. And let’s not leave out finger-dancing piano music and the occasional washboard!
Father of the band Norm has been entertaining audiences with his 5-string Gibson Mastertone Banjo since 1977, when he became part of the cast of the “Saloon Show” and joined the “Marvel Cave” band at Silver Dollar City. Through the years, he has played a variety of venues, including the Roy Clark Theatre in the early 80’s.
