Farm Bureau Members Attend Farm Bureau Legislative Day
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – More than 200 farmers and ranchers found some one-on-one time with their state legislators during the annual Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) Legislative Briefing Feb. 18 and 19 in Jefferson City. County Farm Bureau leaders met in the Capitol offices of state representatives and senators and later the same day at a banquet hosted by Missouri Farm Bureau.
Earlier in the day, members were briefed by a number of speakers, including Governor Mike Parson. The governor said he recently met with President Trump and 20 other governors in Washington, D.C. One of the topics was flooding on the Missouri River. “No governor is happy with the management of the Missouri River right now. We are focused on trying to make changes to that in the very near future,” Parson said. “The president said I’m here to help. If I need to things to make adjustments in the Corps of Engineers, I will take that step.”
