Electric Coop considers Broadband
The local electric cooperative is giving serious consideration to broadband internet services for rural Henry County residents.
Osage Valley Electric Cooperative commissioned a feasibility study of the high speed internet service and described that effort to their member owners during the 2019 Annual Meeting held on August 15 at the Benson Center in Clinton.
“We will consider this only if the study shows it does not pose a financial risk to the cooperative,” said General Manager Jarrod Campbell, during his CEO report.
Many large electric cooperatives in Missouri have already been offering this service. Osage Valley is one of the largest electric coops in the state and Midwest with power service to all or parts of seven counties.
The president of the board also announced good news on the electric rates.
