COVID-19 SCREENING AND GUIDELINES IN PLACE AT BCMH
Bates County Memorial Hospital is taking precautions to protect our patients, staff and community from exposure to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In this effort, the following temporary action has been taken:
• Persons entering the hospital from the front and Emergency entrances will be screened before entering the building. • Visitors are encouraged to not visit patients in the hospital. • The Auxiliary Gift Shop is closed, tentatively until May 1st. • Our Volunteers and Chaplains will not be working and in the building during this time. • All Support Groups have been cancelled through May 1st. • All job shadow students and clinical students are cancelled. • Exercise (maintenance only) programs in Cardiopulmonary Rehab, our Rehab Department, and Stay Strong Stay Healthy are cancelled. • Persons with respiratory illness symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, and/or shortness of breath) seeking care at our Family Care Clinics in Adrian, Butler and Rich Hill are asked to call the clinic first before entering the building to assess health status.• The front entrance to the hospital will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you are entering the building during weekends or evening hours, you must use the Emergency Department entrance.
